How do I pair Stryd Duo with my Garmin, Polar, Suunto, Wahoo, COROS, or Apple Watch?

Setup Stryd Duo with your Garmin watch

Install or update the 'Stryd Zones' data field

  1. Open up the "Connect IQ" store app on your phone

    1. If you do not have a "Connect IQ" app on your phone, please install it by using one of the following links.

      1. Download "Connect IQ" on iOS >

      2. Download "Connect IQ" on Android >

  2. Tap on the Search tab and search for "Stryd Zones"

  3. Select "Stryd Zones" and select "Install" or "Update"

  4. The data field is now either installed or updated on your watch.

Configure the 'Stryd Zones' data field settings

  1. Open up the "Connect IQ" store app on your phone

  2. Tap on the Search tab and search for "Stryd Zones"

  3. Select "Stryd Zones" and select "Settings"

  4. Input the ANT+ ID of your Stryd Duo

  5. Input your Username

  6. Tap Save

Place 'Stryd Zones' in the run mode on your watch to view and record data from Stryd

If this is your first time using Stryd, you will need to place this data field in the run mode on your watch to view and record Stryd data.

If you have already been using Stryd, this step is not necessary and you can proceed to the next section.

​Please follow these instructions to place the data field on your watch.

  1. On your watch, press and hold the center-left button until the menu appears

  2. Scroll down and select Activities and Apps

  3. Select Run > Run Settings > Data Screens

  4. Select the Pencil Icon by pressing the top right-hand button

  5. Next, you can select Layout to add a new screen or select Data Fields to change an existing data field

  6. Select the data field you want to change, select Connect IQ, and then select Stryd Zones

  7. Leave the Data Screens menu by pressing the back button on your watch

  8. You have now added Stryd Zones

    1. Please start a short test activity to see if the Stryd Zones data field can find your Stryd Duo.

    2. If you do not see the data field, please return to step 1 and try to add the data field to the run mode on your watch again.

Pair Stryd Duo as a Running Dynamics Pod

You should pair Stryd Duo as a Running Dynamics pod (if applicable) as this pairing enables the five new second-by-second metrics.

If your watch is compatible with Running Dynamics pods, please follow the instructions to pair Stryd Duo as a Running Dynamics pod.

  1. On your watch, press and hold the center-left button until the menu appears

  2. Scroll down and select Sensors & Accessories

  3. Select Add New > RD Pod

  4. Add the RD Pod connection that is found

Stryd Duo is now added as an RD Pod on your watch. You should continue to use your existing sensor pairing, such as ANT+ FP, in order to get pace/distance from Stryd.

You will only need to pair Stryd Duo in the Stryd mobile app. Then, you can start an activity in the Stryd app on your Apple Watch with Stryd Duo.

Setup Stryd Duo with your COROS watch

Please follow these instructions to setup Stryd Duo with your COROS watch

Visit the Accessory menu on your watch for pairing

  1. Grab your COROS watch.

  2. Scroll through the menu on the watch and select System > and then Accessories

  3. Now, we will pair Stryd Duo

    1. If you are an existing Stryd user, please remove all existing pairings for Stryd before pairing Stryd Duo

  4. Please continue on to the next set of steps of pairing instructions

    1. If you have a Vertix 2, scroll to the Vertix 2 pairing section.

    2. For other watches, see 'Pairing Stryd Duo for most COROS watches'

Pairing Stryd Duo for most COROS watches

  1. Select Add ANT+

  2. Move your Stryd Duo pods as your watch searches.

    1. Pair as a STRYD sensor: Stryd will be shown as a STRYD sensor. You should select STRYD.

    2. Do not pair as a POWER sensor: It is not necessary to pair Stryd as a POWER sensor.

  3. You have successfully paired Stryd Duo

Pairing Stryd Duo for Vertix 2, Apex 2, & Apex 2 Pro, Pace 3

  1. Select Add Bluetooth

  2. Move your Stryd Duo pods as your watch searches.

  3. Only connect to one of the StrydX sensors.

    1. Do not connect to both of the StrydX sensors that are available. You only need to pair with one StrydX sensor to collect the Stryd Duo metrics.

  4. You have successfully paired Stryd Duo

After you have paired Stryd Duo to the COROS watch, you can follow the standard setup instructions if this is your first time using Stryd >

Setup Stryd Duo with your Polar watch

Please follow these instructions to setup Stryd Duo with your Polar watch

Visit the Pair and Sync menu on your watch for pairing

  1. Start on the main clock screen of your watch

  2. Open the options menu by pressing the bottom left button

  3. Scroll through the menu on the watch and select Settings > then General Settings > and then Pair and Sync

  4. Please continue on to the next set of steps of pairing instructions

    1. If you are an existing Stryd user, please visit the Paired Devices menu and remove all existing pairings for Stryd before pairing Stryd Duo

Pairing Stryd Duo on your watch

  1. Scroll through the menu on the watch and select Pair sensor or other devices

  2. Move your Stryd Duo pods as your watch searches

    1. Select one StrydX sensor.

    2. Do not connect to both of the StrydX sensors that are available. You only need to pair with one StrydX sensor to collect the Stryd Duo metrics.

  3. You have successfully paired Stryd Duo

After you have paired Stryd Duo to the Polar watch, you can follow the standard setup instructions if this is your first time using Stryd >

Setup Stryd Duo with your Suunto watch

Please follow these instructions to setup Stryd Duo with your Suunto watch

Visit the Connectivity menu on your watch for pairing

  1. Start on the main clock screen of your watch

  2. Access the Settings menu on your watch by scrolling through the menu or pressing and holding the center-right button on your watch

  3. Scroll through the menu on the watch and select Connectivity

  4. Please continue on to the next set of steps below

    1. If you are an existing Stryd user, please visit the Paired Devices menu and remove all existing pairings for Stryd before pairing Stryd Duo

Pairing Stryd Duo on your watch

  1. Scroll through the menu on the watch and select Pair Sensor > and then Pair Foot Pod

  2. Move your Stryd Duo pods as your watch searches

  3. Stryd Duo will be found

  4. You have successfully paired Stryd Duo

Disable Autocalibration

  1. Start on the main clock screen of your watch

  2. Access the Settings menu on your watch by scrolling through the menu or pressing and holding the center-right button on your watch

  3. Scroll through the menu on the watch and select Connectivity > then Paired Devices > and then Foot Pod

  4. Disable Autocalibration

After you have paired Stryd Duo to the Suunto watch, you can follow the standard setup instructions if this is your first time using Stryd >

Setup Stryd Duo with your Wahoo watch

Please follow these instructions to setup Stryd Duo with your Wahoo watch

Visit the Sensor menu on your watch for pairing

  1. Start on the main clock screen of your watch

  2. Access the Settings menu on your watch by pressing and holding the bottom-left button on the watch

  3. Scroll through the menu on the watch and select Sensors

  4. Please continue on to the next set of steps below

    1. If you are an existing Stryd user, please remove all existing pairings for Stryd before pairing Stryd Duo

Pairing Stryd Duo on your watch

  1. Scroll through the menu on the watch and select Pair New

  2. Move your Stryd Duo pods as your watch searches

  3. A Footpod sensor will be found. Save that pairing and add power to pages

  4. You have successfully paired Stryd Duo

After you have paired Stryd Duo to the Wahoo watch, you can follow the standard setup instructions if this is your first time using Stryd >
