All Stryd Members have access to the Stryd Library in the Stryd Mobile App. The Stryd Library is the place to find or build workouts and training plans.

Every workout and plan that Stryd has built will automatically be customized to every individual using Stryd. We can do this as long as the individual has an accurate Critical Power. Before you add a workout or training plan to your calendar, please make sure your Critical Power is accurate.

Stryd Workout Library

The Stryd Workout Library is the place to find or create Power-Based Structured Workouts.

Stryd Collections (Workouts)

If you are looking for a pre-built Power-Based Structured Workout, these collections are a great place to start. The Stryd Collections list is found in the “Library | Workout” tab of the Stryd app.

These collections include 13 categories of the most useful structured workouts for training with Stryd. They are perfect for when you need to add a workout to your calendar on-the-fly, or if you’re looking to perform a fitness test to boost your Critical Power.

The 13 Collections available are:

  • Race Course-Specific Collection - This is where specific race courses are stored

  • Time-Based Workouts - Short time-based Fartlek's to longer threshold and progression runs

  • Classic Workouts - Legendary workout with a power-based twist

  • Workout of the Week - A rotating collection of workouts. Updated every Wednesday

  • Basic Workouts - Workouts to get you started running with power

  • Distance-Based Workouts - Short track workouts to longer efforts geared to the marathon

  • Long Run Workouts - These efforts can be substituted on a long run day to switch things up

  • Time Trials - Test your best efforts over varying distances

  • Critical Power Calibration - Calibrate your Stryd Auto-Calculated Critical Power

  • Critical Power Test - A collection of standardized Critical Power Tests

  • Tune-Up Workouts - Workouts to get you ready for race day

  • Treadmill Workouts - Power-based workouts for the treadmill

  • Testing Workout Sets - Workout sets to help you maintain an accurate Critical Power

The workouts within these collections are constantly growing and changing to meet the needs of Stryders everywhere.

Stryd Workout Builder

The Stryd Workout Builder allows you to build workouts with fine control over every detail.

These workouts can either be added to your calendar or saved to custom collections.

The Stryd team recommends that you create a Workout Collection to save your custom workouts to:

  1. Open the Stryd app and navigate to the "Library | Workout" screen

  2. Select the "+" icon in the upper right-hand corner

  3. Select "New Collection"

  4. Name your collection and select save

  5. Click the "+" icon under the collection title
    You have now entered the Workout Builder!

  6. Enter the title of your workout

  7. Add the workout type

  8. Add a workout description

  9. Choose the ‘+’ icon below

  10. Add your workout blocks

  11. Once a block is added, edit the block to give a duration and a power target

  12. Add more blocks to your workout by selecting the ‘+’ icon below

  13. Hit save once the workout is complete

  14. The workout is now added to your new workout collection

Alternatively, if you already have a collection built, you can access the Workout Builder by:

  1. Open the Stryd app and navigate to the "Library | Workout" screen

  2. Select the "+" icon in the upper right-hand corner

  3. Select "New Workout"
    You have now entered the Workout Builder!

Add a Stryd Workout to your Calendar

Workouts can be added from a Workout Collection to your calendar with just a few taps. Here is how:

  1. In the Stryd Mobile App on your phone, navigate to the “Library” tab.

  2. Select the collection that contains your desired workout.

  3. Select the workout. This will show you the workout details.

  4. Select the “Add to Calendar” button.

  5. The Calendar screen will appear. Select the date that you would like to schedule the workout.

Stryd Training Plan Library

The Stryd Training Plan Library is the place to find or create Power-Based Training Plans.

Stryd Collections (Training Plans)

If you are looking for a pre-built Power-Based Training Plan, these collections are a great place to start. The Stryd Collections list is found in the “Library | Training Plan” tab of the Stryd app.

The Stryd team has partnered with Coach Steve Palladino to redesign the Stryd Training Plans.

There are 7 plans available that can automatically scale based on your current fitness. These are the Training Plans you can choose from:

  • Marathon - Training Plan

  • Half Marathon - Training Plan

  • 10K - Training Plan

  • 5K - Training Plan

  • Build - Fitness Plan

  • Maintain - Fitness Plan

  • Test - Testing Plan

Stryd Training Plan Builder

The Stryd Training Plan Builder allows you to build training plans with fine control over every detail.

Here is how you can build your custom training plan:

  1. Open the Stryd app and navigate to the "Library | Training Plan" screen

  2. Select the "+" icon in the upper right-hand corner

  3. Select "New Collection"

  4. Name your collection and select save

  5. Click the "+" icon under the collection title
    You have now entered the Training Plan Builder!

  6. You may want to read the description to better understand how to use this tool successfully.

  7. Enter your Plan Type and select Continue.

  8. You will need to Create your First Phase and customize your "Phase Type", "Weekly Volume - Duration", and "Weekly Structure". The select done.

  9. Now you can change the name of the plan to something that you will be able to distinguish and remember i.e. "Boston Marathon Build Plan".

  10. Scroll down and add more Phases to your new Training Plan.

  11. Each Week of the Training Plan can be Expanded and customized.

  12. To change a workout in the week, select the three horizontal dots in the top right-hand corner of the workout card. Then select "Swap" and choose the new workout.

  13. If your custom week is something you would like to duplicate, you can! Collapse the week summary and select the "Duplicate Week +" button.

  14. When you are satisfied with your custom Training Plan select the "Save" button at the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Alternatively, if you already have a collection built, you can access the Workout Builder by:

  1. Open the Stryd app and navigate to the "Library | Training Plan" screen

  2. Select the "+" icon in the upper right-hand corner

  3. Select "New Training Plan"
    You have now entered the Training Plan Builder!

Adding a Stryd Training Plan to your Calendar

If you are ready to start s Stryd Training Plan, follow these simple instructions to add the plan to your calendar.

Adding a Stryd Collection Plan to your Calendar

These are Stryd's pre-built plans by Coach Steve Palladino.

  1. Open the Stryd app and select Library | Training Plan

  2. Select Stryd Collections

  3. Select the plan you would like to start

  4. Read the instructions and follow the Training Plan Onboarding Flow

  5. Save the Plan to your calendar

Adding a Custom Training Plan to your Calendar

These are your custom-built Training Plans.

  1. Open the Stryd app and select Library | Training Plan

  2. Select your custom Training Plan

  3. Select the three vertical dots in the upper right-hand corner of the training plan

  4. Select Start Plan

  5. Select the date that you want your plan to end. Note that under the date selection wheel, you will be able to see details about when the plan will start.

  6. When you are satisfied with the End and Start dates, select the "Schedule" button.
