How long does the battery of Stryd last?

We have designed Stryd to last for as long as possible. With a full charge of the battery Stryd will give you up to 20 hours of actual run time.

Additionally, there is an internal flash drive that will store up to 9 hours of run data that you can upload to the mobile app at your leisure post run.


What does the LED light mean on Stryd?

The LED light on Stryd will light up under the following conditions:

  • Flashes once or twice: Stryd just connected with your phone or watch

  • Blinks constantly: Stryd needs to be charged! There is a low amount of charge status remaining on your Stryd. Please place Stryd on the charger.

  • Light Pulsing on and off: Stryd is charging. Leave Stryd on the charger

  • LED is a solid orange: The battery of your device is fully charged

If you are using the first generation of the Stryd pod (non-wind model)

  • LED is off when on the charger: Stryd is OK! Stryd is sufficiently charged and does not need to be charged. Stryd will charge again when the battery percentage is below 85%.


What is the operating temperature for Stryd?


Stryd uses a lithium-ion battery which is rated for:

charging at 0°C to 45°C (32°F to 113°F)

performance at –20°C to 60°C (–4°F to 140°F)


What does the model number of my Stryd mean?

The model number indicates the version of your Stryd and when it was manufactured.

The first Stryd product, launched in 2015, was a chest mounted based power meter running power meter.

In 2016, Stryd (non-wind model) launched. Stryd (non-wind model) consists of models 2 to 13.

In 2019, Stryd(wind model) launched. Stryd (wind model) consists of models 14 to 25.

In September of 2022, the Next Gen Stryd launched. Next Gen Stryd consists of models 26 or higher.

In October of 2023, Stryd Duo launched. Stryd Duo consists of two Next Gen Stryd pods. You can create Stryd Duo with the Stryd mobile app if you have two Next Gen Stryd pods with model number 26 or higher.

If you see references to Stryd version numbers (V2, V3, V4, etc.), they may not accurately describe the Stryd model. Please reference the naming scheme above to most accurately describe Stryd.
