Training Analysis

How can I analyze my Stryd data? Analysis tab

Updated over a week ago

Comparing easy runs to tempo runs is like comparing apples to oranges. With the Stryd Training Analysis feature, you can compare apples to apples, or tempo runs to other tempo runs!

This feature can be immensely useful if you want to see how your fitness or aspects of your running form change over time. When similar workouts on a similar surface are compared using the Training Analysis feature, users can easily tell if they are overcoming fatigue or struggling more than usual.

Stryd Analysis

The Stryd system will provide you with useful analytic tools to help you better understand your training and other running trends.

Make sure under Analysis that you are viewing All Data.

Under the All Data tab, you will be able to see the Run History graph as well as Stryd Trends data.

Run History graph

The Run History graph can show you running stress, distance, duration, elevation gain, and lower body stress score data from the last week, 12 weeks, or year.

This can help summarize your weekly mileage or track your running stress for a particular training block.

Trends data

Your Trends data can help you view long-term changes or similarities in your running information. This data will show you Stryd-specific metrics as well as user inputs like Feel and Perceived Effort.

Custom Analysis

If you have a very specific set of data or time frame that you would like to track, you can apply a custom filter to the trends data.

To apply a filter, follow these steps:

  1. Open up the Stryd Mobile App

  2. Choose 'Analysis' on the homepage

  3. Select the blue 'filter' button in the upper lefthand corner

  4. Select a filter from the list or create your own filter

Please note that for the best results, you will need to compare runs of similar effort, over similar surfaces. Therefore, hilly trail runs and track workouts should not be compared.
