Stryd Membership Free Trial
In some regions, Stryd is available at full cost with a free 6-month Stryd Membership included. If you purchase Stryd from a Stryd partner, you will get a 6-month Stryd Membership included with the price.
Users who would like to try Stryd Membership can choose the monthly renewal with no startup or cancelation fees. Users may also choose to commit to a 4-month or Annual membership term and save on the duration of that membership compared to monthly renewal.
I own a Stryd Pod already. What are my membership options?
If you have owned and used a Stryd Power Meter with Stryd’s software ecosystem before April 1st, 2021, then some features included in the Stryd Membership options will continue to remain free for you indefinitely. You can see a complete breakdown of these features here: Membership Options and Features Tables for Stryd Pioneers (owned pod before membership services)
Any new features that become available in the future that are designated to the Stryd Membership option will be locked for all users without a membership.
Is There a Contract Commitment to Stryd Membership?
Stryd offers three membership options for your Stryd account, and some require upfront payment in full or contract commitment to pay through the end of a predetermined duration.
Stryd Power Meter + Initial Paid Membership Commitment
In some regions, the Stryd foot pod can be purchased with a commitment to 6 months of Stryd Membership. At the time of checkout, you will see the cost of the hardware and the cost of the first month of membership. By making this type of purchase, you agree to our terms of use and agree to a commitment to make monthly payments for the remaining duration of those 6 months.
Stryd Power Meter + Initial Free Membership
In some regions, the Stryd foot pod can be purchased with a 6-month free Stryd Membership. With this type of purchase, no payment for the Stryd Membership is required for the first 6 months of ownership. After 6 months, the Stryd Membership will turn into a monthly membership that can be canceled at any time. To avoid being charged unintentionally, the Stryd Membership can be canceled at any time during the first 6 months.
4-Month and Annual Membership
No contract is required as the full cost of purchase is paid at checkout.
Monthly Membership
No contract is required for standard month-to-month auto-renewal and it can be canceled at any time. This differs from the Stryd Power Meter + Initial Membership option above. The Stryd Power Meter + Initial Membership option requires a contract commitment.
Does My Membership Automatically Renew?
Stryd’s Membership service will auto-renew upon the conclusion of the selected membership length. Find the details for your particular membership option below.
Monthly Renewal
Stryd Membership will be billed on the same day of each month, beginning with the date of the membership initiation date (if the membership was initiated on May 6th, the billing for renewal will occur on the 6th of every month, or the closest following weekday if the 6th falls on a weekend).
4-Month and Annual Membership Terms
If your 4-month or Annual membership term is coming to an end, your subscription will auto-renew the same selection you first made when you signed up. This means that if your 4-Month membership term is reaching the end of its final month, then the day your membership expires you will be billed for the full amount of the 4-Month membership renewal, extending your membership for another 4 months.
When Is My First Stryd Membership Payment Made for the "Initial Membership" Offer?
When a new customer purchases the Stryd Power Meter + Initial Membership package from Stryd.com, the first-month membership payment is made at checkout in addition to the pod payment. To accommodate shipping times for the power meter, the next monthly payment will be made 1 month after the first run with Stryd is uploaded to the Stryd PowerCenter account. This means that if the order is placed on April 5th but the pod is not used to record and upload a run until April 15th, the next monthly payment will occur on May 15th.
Restrictions
Stryd orders are typically delivered in substantially less than 30 days (most orders arrive within one week). For this reason, the delayed account activation described above is only valid for 30 days. If the first run is uploaded more than 30 days after the original purchase, the second monthly payment will be applied on the one-month mark from the date of purchase, and the billing cycle will have been established by the purchase date rather than the first run upload.
Example:
If the order is processed on April 5th, then the 30-day delayed activation ends on May 5th even if the first run is not uploaded until a later date. In this scenario, the first monthly membership payment was made on April 5th, and the second will occur on May 5th.
